1. Preparing the Unit
1.1 Charging
Connect the charger into the slot on the bottom of your Ecaddie. Charging time 3-4 hours. Standard usage time is 7 hours. Estimated battery life is based on the backlight turned off/on.
During use, you can set your Ecaddie backlight to automatically turn off after 10/30 second in order to conserve battery power.
1.2 Download golf course
1.2.1 Download the “rt course manager. exe” software
•Go to the website ”www.roadtom.com”, and click the “Download course” button to get the current version of the “rt course manager. exe” software.
1.2.2 Download course data
Connect the your Ecaddie to Your Computer.
Power on your Ecaddie.
Ensure your computer has a active internet connection.
Launch the “rt course manager. exe” software on your Computer, which system needs Windows Vista, XP, 2000 or Me*. You will need to register (enter your unit serial # as shown on the ABOUT page under “serial NO.”) and create a new user ID so you can login to access the database. You can follow the directions on the software to access our database (with listings for thousands of golf courses worldwide), and transfer the courses data, which you have selected to your Ecaddie.

1.3 Acquiring Satellite Signal
Power on your Ecaddie, and face it up towards the sky. Keep your Ecaddie steady for 1-2 minutes to establish a satellite signal. Initial satellite connection takes 3-5 minutes or longer

3. Play golf
3.1Check And Download Your Golf Course
Turn on your Ecaddie and check if your course is preloaded in your Ecaddie. If you don’t find your course, please use the “rt course manager.exe” software to update your course data or request your course data.

Your position can be show in the course. It can also show your remaining distance to bunkers, water, green, trees and targets. At the play screen, you can move the map though touch panel. You can measure any point on the map.
Once a satellite signal has initially been established, you will be able to manually select the course and hole if you wish to. You can change the Course/Hole. When you touch “H3P4”, it can take you to hole selection screen. At the hole selection screen, you also can return to course selection, and then return to country selection.
4.GPS Navigation
4.1 Check And Download The Navigation Software And Map
Turn on your Ecaddie and check if the navigation software and map is preloaded in your Ecaddie. If you don’t find it, please ask your vendor to purchase the required navigation software and map.
4.2 Navigation Option
On the 「about」screen, you can entry「navigation option」. So you can set the path of the .exe file of navigation software.
4.3 Navigation
On the 「about」screen, you can enter the navigation software which you have downloaded in your Ecaddie.
